You are a fisherman and have little time to fish during the year ... Discover our campsite with fishing pond. At Domaine de l'Etang de Bazange, it's time to rediscover the pleasure of taking up
your rods, bait, hooks and landing nets.
With its unique “Y” shape and 2 hectares of unspoilt countryside, our lake is a delight for beginners and experienced carp anglers alike.
The Domaine de l’Etang de Bazange, with its 7 acre stretch of water, is a favourite with fishermen who like to fish for carp and roach.
We found carp of up to 10kg the last time we emptied the lake.
And you don’t need a fishing licence!
Kids will love to learn to fish in our lake.
At the 4-star Dordogne campsite, we're lucky enough to have a lake stocked with over 2.5 tonnes of fish (carp, roach, perch and a few pike-perch).
Carp weighing 7/8 kg abound. And there are also some nice specimens (carp >13 kg). We are counting on you to respect the fish (read the fishing regulations).
Anglers will also appreciate the tranquillity of the shady banks.
Calling all fishing enthusiasts! Get to enjoy your favourite pastime without any guilt while the rest of your family swim in the pool, enjoy the water slides, join in the activities – and generally have an unforgettable holiday!
No fishing licence required
No Kill
Protective mats are compulsory to protect the carp during the photo before they are released.
Baiting boats prohibited to limit organic pollution of the water and maintain excellent water quality (as evidenced by the presence of white-clawed crayfish - protected!)
Bourriches forbidden (reminder: no kill)
Fish must be returned to the water immediately
Boats and canoes are not allowed on the pond for safety reasons.
If you prefer river fishing, there are two category 2 rivers nearby – the Dordogne and the Isle.
They are stocked with white fish (roach, bream, bleak...), carnivorous fish (pikeperch, pike, perch...) and migratory fish like shad.
The diverse network of waterways in the Dordogne region is an attraction to all fishermen – both new and experienced – who want to fish on holiday.
